Head Of Corporate Services - Fiekuma Nathaniel Moses-Gombo

Mr. Fiekuma Nathaniel Moses-Gombo is the Head of Corporate Services of Izon Microfinance Bank Limited. He is a 1987 graduate of History from the University of Port Harcourt where he bagged a Second Class (Hons) Upper Division and made a mark as the best graduating student in the department and second best in the Faculty of Arts   with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.42 on a scale of 5 points.
He started his career in Administration and Human Resources Management with the Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori in April 1989 after completing the National Youths Service in the 1987/88 service year. He had the privilege to work first in the Registry Department and later the School of Engineering where he served as Administrative Secretary and assisted the Director of the School to prepare the Academic Plan that facilitated the commencement of the National Diploma Engineering Programmes in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. He also had the opportunity to serve as a Student Affairs Officer in the Student Affairs Department for roughly two academic sessions. What is remarkable about his stint in Student Affair is that these were the only sessions that were not disrupted by students’ unrest in a space of 5 (five) years.  He was a member and secretary of several committees including the Chapel Committee which ministered to the spiritual needs of the entire Polytechnic community.
In 1993, he took up appointment with the then Allstates Trust Bank Plc, Victoria Island, Lagos as a Recruitment Officer in the Human Resources Department. By dint of hard work, he rose to the position of a full Manager and served diligently as the Head of Human Resources of the Bank from May 1996-May 2004.  Due to business exigencies, he was later assigned to the Marketing/Business Development Division of the Corporate Branch where he learnt the fundamentals of building strong business relationships and the effective strategies of prospecting new accounts. He resigned his appointment with the Bank in the same year to pursue other personal interests and run a private business.
From September 2004 – December 2008, he was the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Kumachi Resources Limited, a Lagos based indigenous company that had interest in Real Estate Development and Management, supply of portable water to homes and business premises, supply of assorted building materials and products as well as haulage of sand.
His quest to return to his home State pushed him to take up an appointment with the Bayelsa State Microcredit Administration Agency (BSMAA) as Head of Human Resources and Administration in 2009. The Agency amongst other achievements successfully managed the training of 20 indigenes in Tailoring and Fashion Designing in Thailand between 2010 and 2011.  When there was a change in Administration in the State, the Bayelsa State Microcredit Administration Agency (BSMAA) was collapsed into the parallel Bayelsa Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (BYMEDA) to address the capacity building and financing needs of entrepreneurs. He still held the position of Head of Human Resources and Administration in the new Agency.
However, when the idea of a State owned Microfinance Bank was mooted in 2013, his rich and varied experience became very relevant and he was drafted into the Management Team that worked for the setting up of the Bank and has been with the Bank ever since.
In the course of his career, he has attended various training programmes both local and offshore and belongs to several professional bodies. He is a Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, Associate Member of the Nigeria Institute of Training and Development and a Full Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered).
